Cheap Auto Insurance For Women - Understanding Why
It’s likely that you have heard a joke or two about women being bad drivers. Without doubt most women do not appreciate the negative connotation. And rightly so, since, on average women’s car insurance is cheaper than men’s car insurance? For some of you men this may be a difficult fact to swallow, but it’s true. Statistical facts have been showing a trend that lead car insurance companies to offer lower premiums to women drivers than to men drivers.
Auto insurance companies have decades of research supporting the fact that, as a group, women drivers are not involved in as many accidents as men drivers. Another interesting fact is that the car accidents which involve women drivers often don’t cause nearly as much damage as the car accidents that men drivers are involved in. Women drivers also don’t commit as many auto related crimes as men drivers do. And, if women really need more evidence to show their boyfriends and husbands, when it comes to passing the driver’s license exam, women drivers are more apt to pass their exam on the first try than men drivers.
Due to these statistical reports, auto insurance companies are more likely to provide cheaper car insurance to women than they are to men. Women aren’t being given cheaper car insurance rates because of their gender; but rather they are offered cheaper rates because car insurance companies can statistically bet on women drivers being safer.
This isn’t to say that because you are a women you are a better driver than a man, or that any woman driver out there is going to be a safer driver than her male counterpart. However, it is to say that statistical, women are generally safer drivers than men, thus resulting in the reward of cheaper car insurance for women.
Due to these statistical reports, auto insurance companies are more likely to provide cheaper car insurance to women than they are to men. Women aren’t being given cheaper car insurance rates because of their gender; but rather they are offered cheaper rates because car insurance companies can statistically bet on women drivers being safer.
